The Independence Institute was founded to promote and protect eternal truths expressed in the Declaration of Independence: that all persons are created equal and entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
We seek private-sector and community solutions to problems rather than prescriptions for regimentation and control.
We offer expertise—and provide active leadership—in education, taxes, healthcare, energy, the environment, government transparency, transportation, local government, the right to keep and bear arms, and the U.S. and Colorado Constitutions. Unlike most policy organizations, we accept no government money.
